HCG Drops

Are you looking for help or more information with HCG drops? If so you have come to the right place.

This site is dedicated to giving you the very best information about the HCG diet and the HCG drops needed to complete the protocol.

On a side note, if you don’t have any HCG drops yet this is where I get my supplies and coaching from. Click here: HCG Diet

I get that question daily so there it is so you don’t have to wonder  : )

So what are the drops and how do you take them? Well every product is different but if you get your drops from the place I recommend above you will be taking 15 drops under your tongue, 3 times a day, 20 minutes before meals. It’s that simple.

This is much safer than the HCG injections because you are taking a much lower dose of the HCG, and spreading it out 3 times a day instead of 1 injection in the morning. Plus taking anything orally is always safer than injecting, so you will be able to avoid any HCG diet dangers or side effects by using an oral product.

So that’s how you take the HCG drops. Now you just need to follow the HCG diet during your drops treatment.

So typically people do a 23 day or a 40 day round which goes like this: For the first 2 days you do what are called “gorge days” or also called “loading days” where you eat whatever you’d like, as much as you like and whenever you’d like. You are supposed to gorge yourself and eat all day.

The loading days are counter-intuitive but it tells your body that you have enough fat to lose and to unlock the stored fat on your body so you can lose it quickly. Make sure you stay full all day during these days and don’t skip them. You will gain some weight but it will come off the first day or two on the low calorie diet.

You should take your drops during these 2 days but only take then 3 times a day at the normal breakfast, lunch and dinner times.

After the 2 gorge days you start the low calorie diet. There is too much to describe everything on this page but if you work with the company I recommend above they will give you full guides, instructions and support to make it very easy. Make sure you go with someone who give you ALL of this because you will need it (trust me, you’ll have lots of questions when you get started). If you buy just the HCG drops and don’t get help you’ll regret it. Make sure to give yourself the tools to be successful.

So the diet in a nutshell after the loading days is a protein weighed out to 3.5 ounces, or 100 grams, a specific fruit, a veggie, and a carbohydrate of melba toast or grissini, which is a very specific Italian breadstick, and all of this is 2 meals per day. You can spread out your meals and even have something for breakfast but most eat the food just at lunch and dinner and have coffee or tea for breakfast. Each item is chosen from the HCG diet plan list. So you can’t have just any fruit, you have to choose it from the list. This diet is nice because you know exactly what you can eat and when you can eat it and how much you can eat. There is no guessing on this diet which makes it very easy to be successful.

Then once you are on the low calorie diet you do it for the rest of the 23 or 40 days with the HCG drops. Once you hit your last day on the drops you continue on the low calorie diet for another 3 days without the drops. This makes sure all the HCG drops are out of your system before you up your calorie intake while on the next phase.

Then you start what’s called the “maintenance” phase where you can eat normally but you avoid sugars and starches. There is a little more to it than that but I don’t want to cover it on this page. It’s simple but very important. Maintenance “sets” your weight point so you are more likely to stay there and not gain the weight back. If you do the HCG diet correctly and learn from the diet you should easily be able to keep off the weight forever.

That’s about it. If you happen to get your drops from the same place I did you don’t have to mix them, prepare them or anything fancy. You just open them and drop the right amount of liquid into your mouth and under your tongue.

You should store your drops out of sunlight and most people store them in the fridge to keep them fresh and to last a long time. Keeping your drops cool will tend to make them last over 1 year, but check your product as they are different.

If you have any questions please let me know!

I am only about 6 days into the diet and I’ve lost 8 pounds already. My question is how many days can I go in a row? I’ve heard 23 and 40 but unsure what it is.

Reply

Karen

Hi Sherry. You can go 40 days in a row on the drops, then you do 3 days of the diet but no drops, then you can move to the maintenance phase. If you still need to lost more weight after maintenance you can do another round. In fact you can do as many rounds as you’d like, just make sure not to go more than 40 days in a row. The reason behind that is your body will get used to it and it will become less effective.

I’m on my 8th day of drops and my bottle should last about 15 days. but it’s almost gone. Did I do something wrong? Should I contact who I got it from because I didn’t get enough?

Reply

Karen

Hi Sharon. It just sounds like you are taking too much. A lot of people try to “feel” the drops drop into their mouth and count it that way. Don’t do it that way! It’s far too inaccurate and you’ll be taking too much. Instead look into a mirror and count them as they drop into your mouth. You can also drop them into a small cup or tablespoon and count them that way, then put them into your mouth with the cup or spoon. That will be far more accurate and your drops will last a lot longer. Also make sure to store them correctly and to keep the lid on tight.

what if I forgot to take the drops prior to a meal?

Reply

Karen

Then just take them after your meal. You can take them 20 minutes after you eat and be just fine.

Hi There,

I’m just starting the diet, I’m phase 2 so I just did the fat loading. I totally forgot I needed to take the hCG on those two days. Am I still ok to start phase 2 today?

Reply

Karen

Yes, go ahead and still keep going. You might be a little extra hungry on the next 2 days or so but you’ll be fine on the weight loss if you are following the diet correctly.

Just wanted to let you know that I am on my third week and down 18.6 pounds. If you count from my highest weight after loading it’s 21.3. Great tip by the way about how to take the drops. I did the same thing and was taking too much. I think a lot of people do. But it works and I wish I had found it sooner. Thanks for all your help.

Karen

You are certainly doing well Rachel so you just keep doing what you’re doing. Thank you for sharing your progress with everyone!

Hi,
I have order the drops and am getting all of the information before I begin. I have 15 lbs to lose total. How do you recommend I go about it? The 23 day cycle may be too long from what I understand. Also, Should I exercise? I’ve lost 30 lbs on my own by following a 1300 calorie diet and am having a tough time with the last 15lbs. I exercise 6 days a week. Any help you can provide would be great appreciated!

Thank you,
Sarah

Reply

Karen

Hi Sarah. Whoever you order from should give you all that information. If you hit your goal weight before your round ends then do 3 days of the diet without drops then do the maintenance phase. Light exercise is fine but if you do heavy exercise talk with who you are working with to get help adjusting your diet. It’s best just to take a break from tough exercise if you can. But if not you can change your diet. Good luck!

Hi I’m Cassandra’
I just had a baby and need to lose baby weight!
How or where can I get this stuff from??

Reply

Karen

Hi Cassandra. Make sure you aren’t breast feeding during the diet. It’s low calorie and you shouldn’t be on a low calorie diet while breastfeeding. So just wait until you are done breastfeeding before starting. If you already bought your supplies from somewhere just put it in the fridge until you are ready to go. There should be a link above where I got my supplies. Good luck!

Reply

andrea

Hi is it ok to take the HCG even I’m breastfeeding my 9th months old son?

Reply

Karen

Hi Andrea. The drops aren’t a problem but you’ll be on a low calorie diet while on them, which you shouldn’t do while breastfeeding. You really shouldn’t do any diet while breastfeeding. So just wait until you are done and then you can start.

Hi Beth. Do the loading days with the HCG. You need them to help load and it will make the first day on the low calorie diet easier. So just wait until your product is there for best results.

I am wanting to get started on HCG and I am so confused about what to look for with the ingredients. Some say they contain water, some don’t but contain all sorts of ingredients. What should I look for? Also I really am not good at reading lengthy books etc. I need a simple here is what you do guide and here are some recipes. Also a sounding board so if I think I am doing everything right but it is not working I can find out what I might be doing wrong. I am over 50 and have 50 lbs. to lose.

Reply

Karen

Hi Carmen. What you need to do is choose a good provider. What you need to look for is a money back guarantee, strong customer support and coaching so you can get help along the way because you will have questions, and testimonials from their other clients. The people I used have a private member’s area with recipes and a members forum where you can talk with coaches anytime and also all the other people on the diet. It helps a ton. So you can use them if that’s what you’re looking for. But just make sure they have all those things before working with them. And the product typically should only have a few ingredients. If you are using oral drops they should have HCG, water, alcohol, and that’s about it. Ask the company you are working with about it if there are other things in there. It doesn’t mean it’s no good if there are extra ingredients, just make sure you know what you are taking and they are going to take care of you.

I started the diet about 8 days ago and last night I got some cramps in my legs and feet, should I stop the diet? And what are the specifications on exercise while on this diet?

Reply

Karen

You are just low on potassium. I have read you can get a potassium pill or supplement and that will fix your problem. Are you exercising? That can also cause leg cramps. You don’t need to do any heavy exercise while on this diet, which is nice. If you must exercise then contact your HCG provider and they can help you make any changes to your diet and the drops.

Hi,

I am getting geared up for my second round of drops and with summer just around the corner, and bare legs wondering if the johnson & johnson baby oil gel is okay to use. There are a few other ingredients in it other than the okayed mineral oil, so I am a bit leery. Any insight would be appreciated. Also wondering if spray bug repellent is acceptable, or if I should just wear long sleeves, pants and socks and spray my clothes.

Thanks!

Reply

Karen

That’s a great question. I would avoid it and just stick with the plain baby oil. I read some reviews on that gel and a lot of people are complaining of a rash. I wouldn’t chance it. And bug repellent should be fine but I always like wearing longer sleeved clothes because bug repellent isn’t the nicest stuff to have sitting on your skin. But I doubt it would effect the diet. Read the label though and watch out for oils.

I am on day 3 of drops…. so far I love it ! Definately helped with appetite suppression. In the paper work I have it is not clear as to whether I continue to take the drops during the 3 weeks of “maintenance transition “….

Reply

Karen

Hi Jenee. Glad you are doing well. And no, you don’t take drops during maintenance. You do 3 days of the diet without drops at the end, then move to maintenance.

Reply

lyn

Hi, after doing the 3 days diet without the drops….how am i going to move to the maintenance?is it the same number of drops and calorie of food?

Reply

Karen

Maintenance you don’t take any drops and you don’t count calories. You avoid sugar and starch. You shouldn’t be counting calories now either. In fact if you ever count calories on this diet you are probably doing it wrong. This is why I always recommend people get good coaching while on the diet so you do it 100% correctly. Not sure where you got your HCG but the people I get mine from include free coaching and help you through it. So contact who you are working with and get help soon.

One of the key aspects to using HCG Drops or HCG Pellets is to read all of the information you receive so that you do not miss out on important things as the load days. You must also have the mindset that you are ready to lose weight and willing to do what it takes so you will achieve the best results. Following the diet is very important as well. My daughter started this program and has lost at least 30 pounds. It was not easy but it was easy. Once you start seeing the pounds melt away the portions you eat on the diet become less of a challenge. Once Ammie had such great results with Hcg her mom decided to try as well even though we had been dieting for the last 3 months. I have already lost the weight I wanted to. Bonnie since starting Hcg has lost 16 pounds in a little over 14 days. She had more weight to lose and wanted to speed up the process from what we were already doing. Since you started the Hcg she has had great results and it is faster then what we were doing. One of the keys is mindset and the other is following the instructions to the tee. Do not start unless you can follow the diet or you will not have the best results..

Reply

Karen

I totally agree with you Joseph. Anyone thinking of doing this, or any diet, needs to be committed. But once you are committed and you follow the instructions you will see great results just like your family. Thank you for your tips to help others.

I did pick these up at a local XXXX (store name removed) store. They are the drops. The pamphlets that came with are just that, pamphlets with little instructions. When I put the drops under my tongue do I leave them sit there? Or swallow? Also the 500 calorie diet I am following but wondering is it just calories or is it certain foods I should be eating? I have been trying to stick with salads, fruits veggies, but don’t understand if anything is off limits ie toast? I am on day 4 feel like I might be losing shape wise but no weight change. Am I still doing ok? I am so happy to find a blog with answers! Thanks for your time!

Reply

Karen

One of the reasons why I hate the store ones is that they don’t give you enough information or help. So they leave people stranded and when they do the diet wrong and don’t get the results they want they say the diet doesn’t work. So I would actually recommend either returning them or just getting them from a place that has someone to coach you and help you through the diet. The diet is easy but you need a place to get all the info and ask questions. The people I used were great for that and it saved me a lot during the diet. So find help quick so you do the diet the right way.

Reply

Juan

Hi
I started the diet today but I was wondering one thing, do I have to hold the drops under the tounge or can I just swallow?

Reply

Karen

Hi Juan. You should be holding them under your tongue for a certain period of time. The people you got your drops from should have included this information so contact them for it as all products will be different.

Elisa

I’m taking the exact same drops as you did but I’m wondering how I should store the bottles I’m not using. Do I need to store them all in the fridge or just the ones I’m not using? I am 1 week done and have lost 6 pounds so far and I feel great.

Reply

Karen

You are doing great Elisa! So whatever bottles you aren’t using I suggest storing in the fridge, that way they will last a very long time and won’t go bad. The bottle you are using now you can keep with you, just keep it out of the sun and preferably out of hot places like a parked car. That will keep your drops good for the longest possible time. Let us know how your round ends up!

Hi i am thinking of taking HCG drop i had a hysterectomy about a year and a half ago and i am on estrogen pills is it safe to take the drops ? how many colories can u have daily on this ?

Reply

Karen

I would ask your health care professional but there are plenty of people, including those who I know personally, who are on the diet and have had a hysterectomy. But ask if you are worried. But I wouldn’t think there would be a problem as long as you can be on a low calorie diet. And you don’t count calories on this program, you simply choose food from the list and weigh it out. You are eating about 800-900 but with the HCG it’s unlocking your stored fat and you are getting those important nutrients so in actuality you are getting a lot more calories than what you are just eating.

Hi, i recently ordered the HCG drops and they should be here by the weekend. My mother and I plan on tracking our progress daily and we would like to know if you would count the gorging days?

Thanks,
Celeste

Reply

Karen

Not sure what you mean by “count”. Make sure to do the gorging days and make sure to track your weight on both those days. YOu need accurate measurements to know how far you’ve come. So if you gain 3 pounds on gorging then yes, count that because you will have to lose it, but it comes off in a day or two but you must know your weights so you can see that progress. Does that make sense. Just always know your number for the day so you can see the next day how you did.

Reply

Jillian

Is there a maximum number of rounds you can do? I have a LOT of weight to lose (nearly 200 pounds) and want to know if it will be safe and still work over an extended period of time.

Reply

Karen

You can do as many rounds as you’d like as long as you are doing the maintenance phase for 3 weeks between them. So yes, you can lose 200+ pounds on the diet and you definitely won’t be the first to do it. Plenty of people have. Make sure to get good support so you have people to ask questions to and help cheer you on. Good luck!

Hi. I was just wondering if there is anything else that I can drink besides coffee, tea and loads of water? Diet pepsi? Maybe even once in awhile? Or a glass or 2 of wine once in awhile?

Reply

Karen

Hi Annette. “Diet” pepsi has horrible things in it for weight loss. It’s a crime that they are even allowed to put diet on the can. The sooner you get off of it the better. You could probably cut just that out and lose a bunch of weight. So it will do wonders by doing the diet and getting off of it. You can do some interesting things with soda water and stevia. It will feel like a soda but have nothing bad in it.

Reply

Annette

Hi Karen. I’m only on day 2 of Phase 1 but, I have already lost 1.5 lbs WHILE gorging? I’m a bit confused because I thought that (if anything) I woud gain weight. Do you find any reasoning for this?

Reply

Karen

Some people do lose while loading. It’s normal. Just make sure you loaded correctly by staying full all day. Consider it a head start on the weight loss!

Reply

tammie

Hi, I am on my first day of loading phase1 do you take drops before or after meals?? Is it normal to have a slight headache? Can you use braggs amino acid as a seasoning

Reply

Karen

Hello Tammie. A headache can be common the first few days, it’s just from a change in the diet. So take any headache medication and that will help get rid of it. Make sure to be drinking all your water. And yes, you can use Braggs amino acids and any seasoning that doesn’t have anything like sugars or other sweeteners added.

Reply

Perla

Hi so I bought drops and I was wondering how long your supposed to be holding the drops under your tongue. Ive been just putting them under my tongue and then swallowing right away, is that wrong?

Reply

Karen

Well that does depend on which product you have. If you got HCG without instructions then I imagine you didn’t go with a good provider. Try to avoid cheap HCG products as they are not usually made well and can be dangerous. Not to mention the fact that you won’t get the support and help you need when you need it. But to answer your question the product I used I had to hold under my tongue for 30 seconds to a minute. This is because it is absorbed underneath your tongue into your bloodstream which is quicker and more effective than swallowing. So talk with who you got you product from for their directions.

jess

so i accidentally left my drops in my car for a day and the weather was up to about 80 degrees, is it still safe to use? :-(

It should be fine as long as it wasn’t in direct sunlight. Even if you did it should be OK. Just try not to do that again.

Just started phase 2 and I measured out a very small bowl of great grains cereal… I am keeping my daily caloric intake to 500 but was dying for some substance!! Am I ok to have that cereal? oats and fruit and a very small amount… the calorie total was 220.. i almost feel like i just screwed myself by doing that. am I ok or should i avoid that altogether? I don’t need to lose a lot, but i don’t wanna ruin it either.. thanks michelle

Reply

Karen

Hi Michelle. No, do not have that cereal. You should not be counting calories on this diet at all. In fact ignore all calories. Stick to the food on the list and eat it in the recommended amounts. That’s it. Do not try to count calories at all. So go over what instructions you have again and follow those. If you didn’t get instructions then find them ASAP. If you are working with a good provider they should have all the info and help you need.

Reply

Perla

Can you consume alcohol while on this diet? If so what is recommended?

Reply

Karen

No, you shouldn’t. That will stall you and cause gains on the diet. So pause any of those drinks for now until you reach the maintenance phase. Once you reach the maintenance phase you can have 1 glass of red wine with dinner, but no more. After maintenance phase though you can have what you feel is good.

What does a drop consist of? I’m still unsure of how much exactly is a drop.

You just count the drops out of the dropper out of the bottle. You can drops the drops into a measuring device though so you get a more exact amount. Make sure to count well so you don’t take too much or not enough.

Probably just adjusting to the diet. Nothing to worry about. You are over a pound per day on average so you are doing extremely well. Just keep following the instructions you have and you’ll always continue to lose.

Hi Karen i have done 2 rounds of HCG before. I want to loose just 10 lbs and am in a heavy work out program. What would it do if i just added the drops to my day. Ive cut out breads and sugars for the past month+ just curious if it could still be effective without gaining huge amounts of weight after stopping the drops? Ive had numerous people ask me the same thing we would love to know without awefull results.

Reply

Karen

Hi Norn. Don’t use the drops unless you are actually on the HCG diet. Adding in the drops won’t help unless you are on the actual eating plan. The HCG just targets the right kind of fat and help with hunger on the diet, but the diet does the weight loss. So you have to do both at the same time. If your workout program isn’t providing results then you have to rethink why you are doing it, or make changes to it.

Good question. In the article above I recommend who I use. Just use who you are comfortable with. Avoid “cheap” products as HCG is not cheap to produce. Also consider that you will need help during your rounds so make sure they have coaching help. Also look for a guarantee. I know the people I used had a guarantee of weight loss if you follow their instructions and that’s why I originally chose them. So do your research and choose one you are comfortable with.

Reply

Just space out your meals as you normally would. No need to make any drastic changes. Just have your typical lunch about midway through your day, then dinner a couple hours after that and before bed. Drink your water as well throughout the day. That little of working out should be just fine. Just don’t overdo it. This diet does not require exercise to work and too much can actually stall you.

If you aren’t eating the required foods, and skipping meals, that’s the problem. Are you following the diet plan? You can’t just count calories. if you do you will fail. Make sure you are following the exact plan. If you are you will do just fine. Talk with who you got your product from for help.

3 days is about the maximum. So if you were only off for 3 days then just jump back in. If you ever do go off make sure to stick to maintenance foods. If you were off the diet and went crazy then consider those days as your loading days. So jump back in now.

Can you take them back? I’m serious. You can just buy HCG from a drug store and expect results. You have to have a good product and great support and coaching. The diet isn’t hard but there’s a lot of little things to consider. So if you haven’t opened it yet then take it back and find a good supplier who is actually going to help you on the diet. If you have opened it you can find info all over this site. As well as some other free sites out there. Not as good as coaching but it will help.

Reply

Karen

No, just follow the plan as usual. As soon as you get home you can take your drops before dinner. The HCG will stay in your system so if you happen to miss a time or two you’ll be OK. That’s why we do the diet for 3 days without HCG at the end of a round, to make sure it’s out of our system. So you’ll be just fine for today. Just try to remember them. I would take 1 bottle to work with me and keep one at home so I never had to remember.

You only need to take the drops at least 20 minutes before or after a meal, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take them if you aren’t eating. So you take it in the morning when you first get up.

Hello. You do the 2 loading days, then the LCD for no more than 38 days (depending on how much you want to lose), then 3 days of the diet with no HCG, then 3 weeks of maintenance. There’s more info on this site. There’s too much to explain in a blog comment. Just make sure to get help from who you are working with and you’ll be fine.

Hi I was wondering if smoking is OK to do while I’m taking HCG, i just got this stuff today and they didn’t come with instructions, except for whats on the bottle witch says to take 10 drops 3 times a day, so i was wondering if this is the right stuff to take.
Thanks, Stewart

Reply

Karen

You got an HCG product and it doesn’t have instructions on the diet? Contact them right away and ask for the instructions. You can’t do the diet without the exact instructions. If they don’t have any then switch providers. This is a major problem with a lot of these cheap providers out there, they don’t help. So get help from them or find someone else to work with if they are unable. I wish you the best.

Hi, I have done the diet on and off. Never have done the protocol correctly. I did lose 20 lbs but have gained 5 back. I want to start again, but do I HAVE to load??? really don’t want to. only have 10 more to go. Can I just start the diet?

Reply

Karen

Congrats on losing 20 if you didn’t do it correctly. So you should load at the start of any new round. So do the loading and do the protocol correctly this time and you’ll see much better results.

Reply

Nay

I received my drops already did my loading but cheated the first day I started 500 calorie day. Will I still be ok and lose weight?

Reply

Karen

Hi Nay. Depends on how much you cheated. Since it was the first day just consider it another loading day. You need to recommit yourself and make sure you are going to do it this time. It’s not hard, just takes a commitment. If you aren’t ready to lose the weight yet then stop and wait until you are. I wish you the best.

hello, very informative answers, i am just starting the loading phase, i read somewhere that you don’t need the drops on these days?? or is it best to crack on and do it? thanks.

Reply

Karen

Hi Zozo. No, that is incorrect about the loading days not needing the drops. You need to start your HCG on the first loading day, you are making sure you have enough in your system for day 3 which is the first day of the low calorie diet.

Hi!
I started the diet on Tuesday and have lost 6lbs, still need to drop 25 more lbs. I have a question.. My mother-in-law will be keeping my daughter 3 days this week and she always cooks for us and it is cooked in butter. what can I do, because I don’t want to hurt her feelings and tell her I can’t eat that.. I feel better now that I have cut out sugar, butter and starches and my Sugar has come down too.

Reply

Karen

Great job Mary! You just need to have a chat with her and let her know the rules of your diet. She’ll understand if you just let her know that it’s a diet and not her food. You can do this.

Hello. I’m just about to finish my first round and have lost 31.2 pounds. I’m thrilled with the results but scared to death about the maintenance phase. What am I supposed to do?? What if I gain anything back? Thank you for your help!

Reply

Karen

Super job Val. Those are fantastic results! And don’t worry about maintenance. Maintenance is easy, no starches or sugars. Everything else is fine. I do recommend still drinking only water though. Drinking calories is bad news. Anyway, just follow the rules, weigh yourself every morning and keep track of where you are. Your body will fluctuate up and down a couple pounds, that’s normal, just make sure you are gaining up and up. But if you follow the guidelines you won’t. I’m sure you’ve learned a lot about the food and how it effects your weight. You are more than prepared to now make those decisions about what to eat. Avoid prepackaged food, stick with the stuff you’ve been eating like meats, veggies, fruits, etc. The good stuff. You’ll do great!

My name is hope and I’ve been on the diet for almost 2 weeks and have lost 12.4 pounds, but these last 2 days I haven’t lost anything. What should I do? Am I doing something wrong?

Reply

Karen

Hello Hope. Great job on your progress so far! And don’t worry, you are just having a slight stall. It’s totally normal and happen eventually to just about everyone. As long as you stick to the plan without cheats you’ll always break out of a stall. If you stall for more than 4 days then you can do an apple day. Ask who you are working with for help on that. But just keep going and you will always break out of a stall. our bodies are always fluctuating and changing and sometimes you just won’t lose on some days, but that’s fine. Keep going till you reach your goal.

If you are about to start a new round do you have to do the loading days again? The drops are great and my first round was amazing. I didn’t think I’d lose so much. I actually passed my goal. But I do have more to lose so please let me know what I’m supposed to do. Thank you.

Reply

Karen

At the start of any new round you need to do the 2 loading days. Loading days are important so don’t skip them. Super job on passing your first goal. Now go get that second goal! : )

How long with my HCG last? Do I have to do anything special as far as storage goes?

Reply

Karen

The product I used will last over a year, I don’t know what you are using though. You need to keep it out of direct sunlight. The best place to store it is in the fridge. That will keep your product good for a much longer time. And avoid keeping it anywhere hot like a car. But do speak with your provider and see if they have specific instructions for what you have.

Reply

Micky

Do the drops have a taste to them? I can’t see myself taking a product orally that I don’t like for very long. I’m kind of sensitive to tastes. And is there a place that is best to store them?

Reply

Karen

The ones I take don’t really have a taste at all. I am like you and am sensitive to taste and these don’t bug me. And the best place to store them is out of direct sunlight and in a cool place. So don’t leave them on the dashboard of your car! The bottles I’m not using I put in the fridge, and the bottle I’m using I just put in my purse.

I started the drops 35 days ago and have lost 18lbs yay! I had my period within the 1st 2weeks of starting. I have never been regular and have had it at least 2 times a month. So I was happy when it lasted only 3 days..a little heavier but still not as long…..I haven’t gotten it since then. I’m 42 yrs old and menopause is a concern, but before I Stop the drops and make an appointment I want to know if this is normal? Thanks for any help I can there’s not a lot info on this topic out there .thanks again NJMOM

Changing your diet and avoiding the really bad foods on the diet can really change your cycles. Nothing to be worried about but you can have changes. So it’s typically normal and not a worry. Great job on the 18 pounds! That’s amazing!

Well I wouldn’t call you old by any stretch of the imagination : ) But yes, you will lose just fine. It might not be as quick as if you were 18, but you will still lose quickly and just fine. Don’t compare results to others, this is your journey.

Hi Karen…
I am in the first days of using HCG. I was wondering if you could eat beef jerky for the meat? If so how would you measure it? Thanks Jeannie

Reply

Karen

Don’t have beef jerky, it is loaded with all sorts of bad stuff in there that won’t help you lose weight. So stick to the fresh natural meats on the diet and you’ll do excellent.

Reply

Laqueesh

Does it have any kind of taste? I was thinking of injections but wanted to avoid that if at all possible. Just wanted to know if it tasted bad or anything like that.

Reply

Karen

if you use the same product that I used then no, there isn’t really a taste. I’m pretty sensitive to tastes and I had no problem taking it. It’s so easy. So don’t worry, you’ll do just as good as the shots and won’t have to endure any needles or pain!

Hi Karen.. Thanks for your advice. I have one more question for you.. Can you have purple grapes on this diet? I haven’t found anything on the net to help me. I found some stuff on nutritional values of different fruits. But I haven’t found a reason not to try grapes. If you could help me out here. I would appreciate it.
Thanks, Jeannie

Reply

No, you shouldn’t have grapes. It will cause issues so do avoid them until your round is over. Do you not have a food list? You need to stick to the HCG diet food list. Talk with your provider, they should be able to give you help.

Hi Karen… I am running out of drops and my order wont be here for a week or so. It looks like I might go a few days with out drops. Do I stick to the diet as if I were still on drops or do I eat normally? And if I do eat normally do I start all over when the drops come in including binge days? I am on the 17th day and I don’t want to gain back what I’ve lost. Please let me know what you think? Thanks, Jeannie

Reply

Karen

You can be about 3 days without HCG, so just continue the low calorie diet with out the HCG. If you reach day 4 and still don’t have it then do maintenance foods. Then as soon as your HCG comes in then jump back into your round.

Hi…My husband and I started HCG a week ago and we have had 2 days of almost no change. one day was a beef day meal and I know that can be the issue but our 7th day weigh in was following a very good day so is this normal? We didn’t gain but the difference was only down a few oz. Any idea’s?

Reply

Karen

A few ounces is still a loss. Look at your overall losses and find your average. Focus on keeping your average daily loss above .5. If it’s not above that then you might be doing something wrong. But I suspect you are way above that. You will have good and bad days, just focus on your average loss per day and not so much on just what happened that morning.

I just bought a bottle of drops from a store here that sales them. The kind that I got does not come with a booklet or information. Other than them saying take 6 drops 6 times a day..along with a 500 calorie diet. Is there any websites that I can print this information off without having to buy it?
Thanks,
Jenny

Karen

Oh my. There couldn’t be worse advice than what they told you! You need help. The diet isn’t actually 500 calories, and if you are counting calories you will fail. I’d return them if you could. Find someone who has coaching and the instructions. I can’t believe they would have the guts to try and sell a product like this without any help or even instructions. There are plenty of good sites out there, use them and get the help you need. It’s worth it.

I am at work and forgot to pack my drops. I will eat lunch, but what do I do when I get home? I teach school. I eat at 11:30. I will not get home until after 4. Do I just resume the drops for dinner?

Reply

Just take your drops before dinner, no need to take more. Try and not to forget next time as you don’t want to miss too many times. Consider getting another bottle and keeping one at work and one at home.

my husband and I are both doing this but he hasn’t lost more than 2 oz in three days. We are following the letter of the law. He has had lean beef twice (100 g) in those days but other then that difference it has been the same. We are finishing our 2nd week. Just not sure what to do. He has gone from 246 (9/26 to 226.4 (10/8). any help would be appreciated.

Reply

Karen

He’s lost almost 20 pounds in 12 days, and I’m not sure but that’s probably 10 days because you counted your loading days. So he is doing more than fantastic. When you lose really quickly you are bound to stall for a little bit, it’s normal. Just keep going and stay on the protocol and you will always continue to lose. So hang in there and tell him to think about his average loss per day. That will perk him up since it’s well over 1 pound per day. Keep up the good work.

Amber

I am a very picky eater. Especially with vegetables. Is there anything I can replace them with? Or can I cut them out entirely?

Thanks!

Reply

Karen

Do not cut them out. Talk with who you are working with about replacing them. You really have to find a veggie you can eat. There are many techniques to actually make you like certain foods. So ask your provider and they should be able to help.

I am wishing to lose 40 lbs and am on day 2 right now. My husband read somewheres and I can’t find it again if I am going to do more than a 3 week cycle to only take the drops 6 days a week so I don’t build an immunity. Is this the way to do it or should I just take them steady for the 6 weeks then stop for maitnance and restart if I havn’t acheived my goal?

Reply

Karen

Just go 40 days, then do maintenance. No need to take it 6 days a week. Just don’t go more than 40 days in a row before doing maintenance for 3 weeks. Then you can start a new round.

Reply

Nicole

Another question.. I work steady graveyards 5 days a week what is best way to adjust my eating for the weekend and drop times.
Right now I have started with fruit for my 230 am break drops when I get home at 7 with melba toast aprox 430 drops and “lunch” at 5 protein and veggie and toast snack later of fruit and drops again around 9 with a protein and veggie again.

Reply

Karen

Just eat lunch at a regular lunch time for you and dinner do the same. It doesn’t matter what you schedule is, just eat when it’s appropriate for you.

Hi Karen,

I’m a bit confused on how to count the drops exactly? I don’t want to over do it or under do it…please help?

Reply

Karen

Just count out the drops by watching it. You can look in a mirror and count them that way. Or you can drop them into a small cup or spoon and count them closely, then use the cup or spoon to get them into your mouth. Whatever works for you.

Reply

Nicole

I used a measuring spoon and found that it is 1-2 drops shy of 1/8 of a teaspoon.

Thank you for your help with your answers to our questions in our HCG journey. We are starting the 2nd week of Maintenance and we are back to doing our normal workout with weights and cardio and we have lost a lb in the 2nd week. We know you are not to gain or loss more than 2lbs during this time. We still have weight to lose so is it really bad to keep losing as we watch what we eat from this point?

Reply

Karen

It’s fine to lose on maintenance and actually normal if you do it right. You just need to make sure you are eating enough. But if you are choosing the right foods you can eat as much as you’d like and you’ll still lose. So just make sure you aren’t dieting or skipping food.

I got my hcg drops and they are in a dark blue glass bottle and they have a minty taste is this a different mix? I am hoping they work the same as the brown plastic bottle that was white and green label.

Mine doesn’t look like that at all. Did you go with a good provider who has a guarantee and coaching? If not consider not using it.

My friend is considering this as her weight loss journey after seeing my success. (30 lbs lost) but is curious about her use of birth control.. the effects of the drops or the effectiveness of the birth control itself. Any insight to this would be appreciated please.

Birth control is fine as long as you are using it properly. So just continue to use it as directed and she’ll be fine.

what if I take the drops more than twice a day what will happen?

You should be taking them more than twice per day. You should be taking them 3 times per day.

I want to try the hcg diet because I need something that makes me not hungry. I take blood pressure medicine, does that matter? Is there caffeine in hcg?

HCG does not contain caffeine and that’s not how it works. So just make sure whoever you work with doesn’t add it to their formula.

We are starting our 2nd round of hcg after being off for 3 months. I workout almost 2 times a day and do zumba 2 times a week. I know from the first time to restrict lifting and hard core working out which I didn’t do back then. I will still go do cardio for 30 min. a day but I would love to still do zumba and wonder if that is okay?

Reply

Karen

Sounds like too much. Talk with your provider/hcg diet coach and they will be able to make some changes if necessary. But if you can pause the workouts then that’s best. Think about what your goal is.
